Cajun Mardi Gras Dance Party! Suzy Thompson & Aux Cajunals Saturday, February 17th 7 - 9:30 PM

Mardi Gras is early this year! So come on down to OCA to celebrate with a unique Cajun Mardi Gras Dance Party featuring Suzy Thompson and Aux Cajunals. Renowned roots musician and master teacher Suzy Thompson is a powerful singer who plays Cajun accordion, fiddle and guitar as she joins her husband, famed flatpicker Eric Thompson and vocalist daughter Allegra of ‘Thompsonia’ plus other fine musicians for some foot-stomping, smoking hot Cajun dance music as Aux Cajunals. Suzy has performed with many influential roots groups (Bluegrass Intentions, Klezmorim, Blue Flame String Band), has recorded with Louisiana’s finest musicians, and formed the award-winning ‘California Cajun Orchestra’. You won’t want to miss this!! $20 Advance /$25 at the door includes Dance lesson at 7 pm. The band starts playing at 7:30 pm.There will be instructors and plenty of dance space available. Beads will be provided! Wear costumes, YES! (Cajun style to borrow).Fine refreshments including local sausage, beer and wine for sale. Let the bon temps roll!!
