OCA Gallery is pleased to present “Myth and Magic” – a juried exhibition open to Sonoma County artists. All media accepted, please review specifications below for artwork.
The exhibit will be open to the public from October 5th to November 18th, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM and during auditorium event intermissions.
Entries (up to three per person) will be accepted on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4 – 7 PM at Occidental Center for the Arts.
Entry fees for this exhibit are $15 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece (max three pieces) per person. All media will be accepted, subject to the guidelines/limitations as listed below.
This exhibition will be juried by Jennifer Mazzucco.
Volunteer docents are needed for the gallery. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering in the gallery!
An opening reception for this exhibit will be held on October 6th from 4 – 7 PM. Artists are encouraged to bring food/drinks to share.
Please review the following guidelines for submission. Entries that do not meet the standards/guidelines set forth here will not be accepted into the show.
Entry Guidelines and Size limitations:
Entries for this juried show must be presented in person on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 between 4 and 7 PM. We do not take online submissions. Open exclusively to Sonoma County artists, this exhibit will include all media: ceramic, glass, photography, soft sculpture, sculpture, fiber arts, etching, painting, drawing, mixed media, wood, metal, etc. All works, however altered or enhanced, may only include the artist’s original created imagery.
Entries may not have appeared previously in any OCA Gallery Exhibit.
This is a juried show. Works are limited to 5’ high and 4’ wide. Two-dimensional works are to be framed, or with gallery wrapped edges, wired on the back for hanging – please refer to our OCA Gallery Frame Hanging Requirement.
Three-dimensional works must weigh less than 50 lbs and be free-standing with their own platform or support mechanism (no nailing to wall, ropes, etc.) Artists whose works are accepted pieces will notified within 48 hours of entry.
All items are to be for sale. Up to three submissions per artist will be accepted for consideration. Fee for first submission is $15, $10 for each additional entry. 40% gallery commission per sale. Payment of entry fees can be made by cash, check or credit card.
Unframed prints of accepted works are also welcome for our print rack.
