When Day & Night Are Equal

The dominance of darkness ends, signaling the return of fertility. New leaves appear on the trees. Crops sprout. Birds mate. Earth life regenerates in the emergence of new light. The great Sphinx of Giza gazes precisely at the rising of the Equinox Sun.

‘When Day & Night Are Equal’ honors the sacred significance of the Spring Equinox with works that express the power and beauty of new beginnings, of life springing forth from the dark and cold into warmth and light.

This exhibit, juried by Dave Gordon, exclusively features Sonoma County artists. To see the list of accepted works, click here.
