O.C.A. is very pleased to present: Teresa Trull, Cris Williamson and Barbara Higbie Reunion Tour! Flying in for a short visit from her New Zealand home for this special tour, blues and rock dynamo Teresa collaborates on stage again with her very talented friends, feminist singer-songwriter Cris and composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Barbara for an unforgettable evening of old and new favorites. Together, these three acclaimed women artists bring high energy, enormous talent, and great chemistry to make music that is vibrant and joyful, tender and poignant, soul-stirring and spirit-lifting.
Blues songstress Teresa Trull combines a gutsy, larger-than-life gospel/soul /rock voice and fearless intensity with top-notch songwriting talent. Also an award-winning producer of more than 30 albums, she has shared the stage with such artists as Joan Baez, David Sanborn, Tracy Nelson, Holly Near and recorded critically-acclaimed albums with Cris and Barbara ( Unexpected, Playtime). Trull’s live performances are said to combine the high power of Nona Hendryx with the irreverent wit of Bette Midler.
Women’s music pioneer Cris Williamson (The Changer and the Changed) is an iconic treasure whose music and voice has become the cornerstone of ‘women’s music’ from the early decades when she started the first woman-owned record company (Olivia Records). Today, with 30+ albums to her credit, Cris continues to tour the acoustic circuit and be embraced by women the world over; while adding new material in her tireless activism for the LGBT community. Her performance career includes three sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall and headlining many of the great folk festivals. She currently resides in Seattle. http://www.criswilliamson.com
