Without volunteers there would not be an Occidental Center for the Arts. Community volunteers conceived the idea of an arts center many years ago. Volunteer efforts have brought that dream to fruition and continue to be the lifeblood of the facility today. Literally, hundreds of individuals share their time, talent and financial resources to maintain the OCA.
Volunteers serve on the OCA board and committees, build and maintain the facility on work days, sell tickets and concessions at events and performances, produce shows and other events, and run and staff the art gallery. For more information about who is involved, visit “About Us”.
Whether you are a carpenter, painter, cook, artist, gardener or organizer, your talents will be but to good use at the Occidental Center for the Arts. Not only will you be donating your time to a worthwhile cause, but also you will develop new friendships and become more intimately involved in our Western Sonoma County Community. All are welcome.
For those who want to embrace a stewardship role, we are accepting applications to join our Board of Directors.
If you are interested in Visual Arts, the Gallery Committee at Occidental Center for the Arts needs members to help plan and organize exhibits and for gallery sitting so OCA can be open to the public more often. It’s a great opportunity to meet other artists, get involved in the community and experience how an art gallery operates.

Thank you to all our volunteers!
