Join the West County Film Society at OCA for a filmmaker’s meetup and screening of ‘NOW’ – the story of a whistleblower who tries to reconnect with his estranged son, but must first reconnect with his estranged self.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to make a micro-budget feature film where you have to do everything yourself?
Now picture doing it all on a twenty-two foot sailboat in the middle of the Hudson River. If you’d like to know what it is like to endure such an adventure then this screening is for you!
‘NOW’ is the narrative debut of Malachi Roth (Limon: A Life Beyond Words) who will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the difficulty of making a film in ten days for less than ten thousand dollars without a crew.
The evening will also include networking with fellow film buffs and filmmakers with refreshments available and an opportunity for attendees to introduce any projects they are working on or film related services that they would like to offer.
No charge to attend, donations gratefully accepted. OCA is accessible to wheelchairs.
