Occidental and the West County region are very fortunate to have a community center for the arts focused on showcasing local artists and performers, while also providing world-class experiences. How lucky are we to see international touring performers in an intimate setting without having to access a freeway!

Please help us ensure that OCA will sustain this extended pause in our programming. There are several ways you can help: make a tax-deductible contribution – use our secure online system (click the “support” tab above) or mail us a check; donate an old car, boat or RV;  or purchase a membership for yourself or a friend.

Enjoy some of your favorite performers on YouTube while we ride this curve-flattening wave of physical distancing. We’ve got awesome variety shows, virtual art exhibits, literary events –  and we’ve also created some fun playlists for you on our YouTube channel that feature many great performers who’ve been at OCA.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. Take care, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon!

About our Center

Occidental Center for the Arts provides diverse, high-quality arts and cultural events to western Sonoma County and the communities beyond. Housed in a remodeled performing venue with superb acoustics and an adjacent exhibition gallery, the OCA works to enrich the lives of local residents through diverse cultural performances, exhibitions, events and arts education that inspire, teach, and entertain.

In the 10 mile radius of Occidental, we have some of the most talented musicians, artists, and performers in Sonoma County.  Our wish to bring world class talent to our small town was also developed with the idea to create a space for local artists to perform, develop, and display their work.

Today we have an acoustically excellent auditorium, with a professional stage, light and sound board, audience seating with great sight lines, an art gallery, and an art classroom. The Redwood Arts Council and Occidental Community Choir, long-term community presenting organizations, have made OCA their preferred performance venue. We have live music programs, literary events, classes and visual art exhibits year round. Read more about the history, who we are today and future plans for OCA plus how you can help us reach our goals. Our facilities are accessible to people with disabilities.
