Volunteer at the OCA!

Without volunteers there would not be an Occidental Center for the Arts. Community volunteers conceived the idea of an arts center many years ago. Volunteer efforts have brought that dream to fruition and continue to be the lifeblood of the facility today. Literally, hundreds of individuals share their time, talent and financial resources to maintain the OCA.

Volunteers serve on the OCA board and committees, help with fundraising, build and maintain the facility on work days, sell tickets and concessions at events and performances, produce shows and other events, staff the art gallery and more.

Whether you are a carpenter, painter, cook, artist, gardener or organizer, your talents will be put to good use at the center. Not only will you be donating your time to a worthwhile cause, you will develop new friendships and become more intimately involved in our Western Sonoma County Community. All are welcome!

Volunteer Opportunities

For OCA events, we need people to set up chairs and tables, take tickets, usher, sell refreshments, and clean up.

For those who want to embrace a stewardship role, we are accepting applications to join our Board of Directors.

If you are interested in Visual Arts, the Gallery Committee at Occidental Center for the Arts needs members to help plan and organize exhibits and for gallery sitting so OCA can be open to the public more often. It’s a great opportunity to meet other artists, get involved in the community and experience how an art gallery operates.

Thank you to all of our volunteers!
