Ways to Help

OCA members are encouraged to volunteer. It’s a great way to support the center, make new friends, learn new skills, connect with our community, and enjoy our programs.

Volunteers receive special perks including free events, an annual appreciation event, guest passes and more.

Events

Our events are staffed by volunteers who take tickets, serve as ushers, help with setup and cleanup, sell concessions, direct parking, support the performers and a variety of other tasks. Our busy schedule means we need a lot of event volunteers! Apply today and join our event team.

Marketing

Our PR Committee handles advertising and promotions, flier distribution, social media campaigns, online calendars, media outreach, press releases and more. Help spread the word about OCA!

Gallery

Our art gallery and exhibits are managed by a team of volunteers who receive and hang artwork, staff the gallery, host receptions, promote the artists, organize the People’s Choice Awards, paint and patch walls between exhibits and more. Artists and art enthusiasts are encouraged to get involved with our gallery team.

Administration

We need administrative help in a variety of capacities, from database and analytical work to data entry and help with mailings. If you have administrative experience and want to help out, let us know!

Facility

Our facility is being renovated, improved and maintained by a dedicated team of volunteers. Regular work days are held on the first Saturday of each month from 9 AM - Noon, with additional days/projects scheduled as needed. Maintenance and cleaning is done on Fridays by a rotating crew. Special Events

Special events require more and different volunteers, with activities ranging from building our haunted house to directing traffic during the Fool’s Parade. Fill out our volunteer application to let us know you’d like to help with special events!

Fundraising

Help is needed with a variety of tasks including grant research, sponsorship outreach, compaign development, raffles, special events and more. Contact us to learn more about Fundraising and help support OCA!
